Nakamura's sculpture is constructed using one of the earliest building forms known to man, the post and lintel, where vertical elements acts as a support for the horizontal. This sculpture is a work which initially had the dual role of an artwork and a practical, everyday function since Nakamura's 'House in the Wood' was where visitors paid the small entrance fee to the Park. However, it was also an architectural sculpture which rewards intense viewing for its surfaces and walls. In 2006, it was decided to add seven fibreglass 'visitors', made in the Studio of Dolorosa Sinaga in Jakarta, to Nakamura's 'House in the Wood' wich was originally intended to have functioned as an admission kiosk to the Chianti Sculpture Park.
